Lab Demonstrator ERSC 4P61 Fall D2-1
About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Lab Demonstrator in the ERSC 4P61 course for the Fall D2-1 term. Compensation for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions is based on the employee's qualifications. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties required as part of a Teaching Assistant's role will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Completion of an Honours degree in Earth Sciences (or equivalent)
- Completion of ERSC 4P61 (or equivalent) with a final grade of 75% or higher
- Applicants must make a case that their qualifications are equivalent to those required above.
