About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for a Lab Demonstrator position. Compensation for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions is paid according to the employee's qualifications. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $22.07 per hour. Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $34.73 per hour. Additional duties required as part of a Teaching Assistant's role will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Requirements
- Completion of 15 credits or more of a single or combined degree in Earth Sciences (or equivalent).
- Completion of ERSC 2P17 (or equivalent) with a final grade of 75% or higher.
- Applicants must make a case that their qualifications are equivalent to those required.
- Applications should include a cover letter, a current resume, and seniority date.
- Applicants that don't include a seniority date will be assumed not to have one.
Responsibilities
- Assisting students during lab sessions.
- Grading assignments and examinations.
- Maintaining grading sheets.
