About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Lab Demonstrator position in the ERSC 3P93 course for the Fall D2-2 term at Brock University. Compensation for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions is based on employee qualifications. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $22.07 per hour. Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $34.73 per hour. Additional duties beyond the standard role will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Requirements

• Completion of an Honours degree in Earth Sciences (or equivalent).
• Completion of ERSC 3P93 (or equivalent) with a final grade of 75% or higher.
• Applicants must make a case that their qualifications are equivalent to those required above.
• Applications must include a cover letter, a current resume, and seniority date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students during lab sessions.
• Grading assignments and examinations.
• Maintaining grade sheets.
• Leading local course-associated field trips.
