About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Lab Demonstrator for the VISA 3P10 Advanced Video Art course. The role involves developing creative, technical, and critical skills for video art production, post-production, and critical evaluation. Through creative projects, critiques, screenings, readings, lectures, and discussions, students will be introduced to various forms and approaches to video art, with an emphasis on creating video art and its contextualization in contemporary art discourses. The position includes lectures, studio work, and lab sessions, totaling 4 hours per week. The contract for this Lab Demonstrator position will be for 48 hours.
Requirements
- Relevant BA or equivalent is required.
- Extensive experience in video production equipment: 4K cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, grip equipment is required.
- In-depth knowledge of software: Adobe Premiere; Davinci, MPEG Streamclip; Audacity; iMovie is required.
- Experience in all aspects of video art production and postproduction (single channel, multiple channel and / or installation) is required.
- In-depth knowledge of animation techniques required.
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students, be punctual in attending classes, and be able to meet appropriate deadlines.
- Must be available to attend all scheduled class hours.

- Grading tests and exams (in some cases)
