About The Position

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, the Georgia Department of Community Health, and other applicable regulatory and established standards. Performs venipunctures and obtains and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• No licensure or certification required by law.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or an equivalent agency.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture or phlebotomy.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes.
• Experience performing EKGs.
• Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
