About The Position

The Laboratory Department is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw quality blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, and complete clerical duties that help maintain efficient department operations. The role includes order entry, result lookup, report generation, and responding to internal and external calls in a friendly and helpful manner. The position requires travel to off-site locations.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to engage professionally with staff and patients.
Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomist certification.
One year of phlebotomy experience.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities

Provide respectful, excellent customer service to patients and members of the community.
Collect and properly process specimens according to established procedures.
Accurately identify patients and match each patient to the correct service to support patient safety.
Enter data and process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing them as directed by test orders.
Perform departmental clerical duties, including checking inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
