About The Position

The Laboratory Department is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, and complete clerical duties that help the department operate efficiently. The role includes order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering internal and external calls in a friendly, helpful manner. The position requires travel to off-site locations and is a PRN position scheduled for day shifts.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to engage professionally with staff and patients.
Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomist certification.
One year of phlebotomy experience.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities

Provide respectful customer service to patients and community members.
Collect specimens from patients according to established procedures and ensure they are properly processed.
Accurately identify patients and match each patient’s identity with the correct service.
Enter data and process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing them as requested by test orders.
Perform departmental clerical duties, including checking inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
