KITCHEN UTILITY LEAD (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Kitchen Utility Lead assists shift supervisors and department directors with the department’s day-to-day operations. The role helps maintain quality by training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with department team members, and ensures assigned schedules are completed daily. The lead sets a positive example through professional interactions with team members and customers, contributes to respectful customer relationships, and supports team efforts. The position may also involve periods when work is not required during educational facility breaks; those periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs, although work may be required year-round or at another location depending on business needs.
Requirements
- Prior utility, stocking, cleaning, and dishwashing experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, detail-oriented customer service.
- Provide assignments and assistance to team members.
- Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment while performing job duties.
- Relieve the shift supervisor during absences.
- Adjust or cover schedules as needed during short staffing.
- Conduct quality assurance surveys to ensure team members maintain established standards.
- Monitor and report equipment issues or shortages.
- Conduct customer and patient surveys.
- Interact appropriately with patients and customers in relation to age-based competencies.
- Maintain professional, respectful interactions with customers, patients, families, team members, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or director.
