About The Position

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Kitchen Assistants for the 2027 Spring/Summer season at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and health and safety standards in kitchens and for food and beverage serving equipment. Team members may work at locations near Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Canyon Village. The position offers flexible schedules of 32–40 hours per week and weekly pay. Employee amenities include dorm-style housing for $50 per week with free laundry, or full RV hookups for $50–$80 per week. Meals are available for $80 per week; meals are optional for RV residents. The position also offers a 30% discount on non-grocery items, low-cost access to park urgent care facilities, and access to recreational activities and training and development opportunities. Additional insurance and vacation benefits are available only for eligible year-round positions at other Delaware North properties.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and place items above and below head height.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift, and occasionally push or pull equipment, mops, and brooms.
Ability to work in variable temperatures and a damp environment.

Responsibilities

Clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and other kitchen items by hand or machine, ensuring dish machine and pot sink sanitizer levels meet health standards.
Assist with food preparation, buffet setup and breakdown, food serving, and food replenishment.
Clean the work area, including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking areas, and keep kitchenware storage organized.
Remove trash from the dish room, transport it to the dumpster, and clean and sanitize garbage cans.
