About The Position

As a Kids Club Teammate at Fitness Connection, you will provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while their parents work out. You will supervise children, enforce safety procedures, support their care needs, communicate with parents, and help maintain a clean and orderly play area. You will also support the Kid’s Club Supervisor and Club Manager in daily operations and special situations.

• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to parents’ inquiries professionally and with care.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Infant and Child First Aid and CPR & AED certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and moving quickly around obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
• Verify that each child is signed in and out by the same parent or legal guardian.
• Supervise activities and ensure children remain in the designated safe area.
• Maintain accurate records of children present in the Kid’s Club.
• Distribute Kid’s Club policies to parents and guardians.
• Provide attentive care, including assistance with personal hygiene needs as necessary.
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day, including significant behaviors or incidents.
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude with children and guardians.
• Regularly clean and sanitize the Kid’s Club area and toys.
• Keep the play area orderly and safe.
• Monitor toys and equipment and report damage or safety concerns.
• Manage supplies inventory and ensure necessary items are stocked and clean.
• Attend and participate in required training sessions and staff meetings.
• Support the Kid’s Club Supervisor and Club Manager in daily operations and special situations.
• Promptly report accidents or incidents to the supervisor and complete necessary documentation.
• Continue learning to improve childcare and safety-protocol knowledge and skills.
