About The Position
The Kids Club Attendant serves infants, toddlers, and school-age children, ensuring they are safe and having fun. The role helps keep children active through engaging programming and introduces them to the YMCA’s Core Values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. The YMCA describes its mission as strengthening community by connecting people to their potential, purpose, and one another.

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, genuine care for infants, toddlers, and school-age children.
- Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere and maintain the center’s cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and appearance.
- Lead organized, age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities.
- Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, the director, and other staff.
- Be open, friendly, and approachable to children and parents.
- Be responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of children in Kids Club.
- Complete required abuse risk management training.
- Follow policies and procedures for managing high-risk activities and maintaining appropriate supervision boundaries.
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to a supervisor.
- Follow mandated abuse-reporting requirements to authorities.
