About The Position
The Kids Club Attendant serves infants, toddlers, and school-age children by helping ensure they are safe and having fun. The role supports children’s activity through age-appropriate programming and teaches the YMCA’s Core Values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. Attendants provide care in a safe, welcoming, clean, and organized environment and communicate with children, parents, the director, and other staff. The YMCA describes its mission as strengthening community by connecting people to their potential, purpose, and one another.

- Preferred minimum age of 16.

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent and genuine care for infants, toddlers, and school-age children.
- Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere, maintaining center cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and appearance.
- Lead organized, age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities.
- Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, the director, and other staff.
- Be open, friendly, and approachable to children and parents.
- Be responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of children in Kids Club.
- Complete required abuse risk management training.
- Follow policies and procedures for managing high-risk activities and maintaining appropriate supervision boundaries.
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to a supervisor.
- Follow mandated abuse-reporting requirements to authorities.
