About The Position

Fitness Connection is hiring a Kids Club Teammate to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while their parents work out. The role involves supervising children, supporting their care and personal hygiene needs as necessary, communicating with parents, and keeping the play area and equipment clean and safe. The teammate also attends required training and meetings, supports the Kid’s Club Supervisor and Club Manager, and reports and documents accidents or incidents. The position is located at the Greenspoint club in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

Passion for working with children and creating positive experiences for them.
Ability to multitask in a dynamic setting while maintaining a calm and organized atmosphere.
Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to parents’ inquiries professionally and with care.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Infant and Child First Aid and CPR & AED certification required within 90 days of employment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, and move quickly around obstacles.

Responsibilities

Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Verify each child is signed in and out by the same parent or legal guardian.
Supervise activities and ensure children remain in the designated safe area.
Maintain accurate records of children present in the Kid’s Club.
Distribute Kid’s Club Policies to parents and guardians and explain safety and care standards.
Provide attentive care, including support with personal hygiene needs as necessary.
Communicate with parents about their child’s day and any significant behavior or incidents.
Maintain a friendly and positive attitude toward children and guardians.
Regularly clean and sanitize the Kid’s Club area and toys.
Keep the play area orderly and safe.
Monitor toys and equipment and report damage or safety concerns.
Manage supplies inventory and ensure necessary items are stocked and clean.
Attend and participate in required training sessions and staff meetings.
Support the Kid’s Club Supervisor and Club Manager in daily operations and special situations.
Promptly report accidents or incidents to the supervisor and complete necessary documentation.
Continue learning to improve childcare skills and knowledge of safety protocols.
