Part Time Key Holder - Cotton On Kids Willowbrook Mall Houston
About The Position
Cotton On is hiring a part-time Key Holder for its Cotton On Kids store at Willowbrook Mall in Houston. The Key Holder opens and closes the store in accordance with company policies and procedures and leads the store team as part of management. The role provides customer service, processes sales, supports inventory and merchandising, and helps maintain store cleanliness and safety. It also supports loss prevention, trains and mentors associates as needed, and promotes a respectful, collaborative, professional team environment. Cotton On is a global fashion and lifestyle retailer whose stated purpose is to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Cotton On Kids offers baby, kids, and tween fashion and gift products. This is a part-time, hourly-paid position in Texas, with a wage range of $12.50–$15.50 per hour. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, and involves regular movement around the store and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Retail experience, preferably in fast fashion.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive results as a team.
- Awareness and understanding of basic retail principles, including sales, stock, and service delivery in stores.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Solid communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of retail sales experience.
- At least 1 year of acting retail leadership or management experience, including opportunities to lead aspects of the business and develop team members.
- Ability to move around the store throughout the shift or workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to regularly squat and kneel.
- Ability to safely use a ladder, step stool, or raised platform.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead the store team as part of management.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory control, restocking, and merchandising.
- Ensure store cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
- Support loss prevention efforts and report unusual activity.
- Engage professionally and respectfully with store teams and customers.
- Train and mentor new associates as needed.
- Collaborate and work as a team toward common goals.
- Maintain a professional presence and motivate and inspire others.
- Treat customers, managers, and peers respectfully.
