About The Position

A fast-paced kennel connected to a well-established companion animal practice in West Chester, Ohio, is seeking a part-time Kennel Technician. The role involves caring for dogs and cats, maintaining kennel cleanliness, and assisting clients during pet drop-off and pick-up. The technician also uses the practice’s computer system to manage reservations and check clients in and out. Candidates must be available on holidays and weekends, as well as during both daytime and evening hours on weekdays.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to walk large and small dogs.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to work efficiently.
• Knowledge of basic pet care and husbandry.
• Availability to work holidays and weekends, as well as daytime and evening hours during the week.

Responsibilities

• Walk small and large dogs on leash.
• Feed and medicate dogs and cats.
• Bathe dogs.
• Clean and sanitize the kennel and runs.
• Interact with clients during drop-off and pick-up procedures.
• Use the computer system to make reservations and check clients in and out.
