About The Position

Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K–12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. As an IEP Team Chair at Brooke East Boston, you will oversee the drafting, implementation, and maintenance of IEPs and 504 plans. You will oversee initial and reevaluation processes and coordinate standardized testing accommodations. The schedule is 7:15 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Salaries are based on years of special education experience; candidates joining with a special education license or degree earn $74,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience. IEP Team Chairs receive an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need area. The position is available for an immediate start.

Requirements

• Be professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues.
• Have a strong working knowledge of federal and state special education laws.
• Be committed to fostering diversity through anti-racist practices and removing bias.
• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education, or hold a special education teaching license.
• Be able to start immediately.
