About The Position

Southwind is hiring a Field Sales & Service Representative for its 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise group in Lakeland, Florida. The role combines customer service, on-site sales, and hands-on junk removal at homes and businesses. Team members create positive customer experiences, discuss pricing, provide estimates, close sales, and remove items safely. They also drive, navigate, and operate box trucks; training is provided. No prior junk removal experience is required. Employees participate in daily recorded role-play scenarios for ongoing training, skill development, and performance improvement.

The position is full-time, generally 4–5 shifts per week, including one mandatory weekend shift and 3–4 weekday shifts. Shifts last 8–12 hours and may fall between 6:30 AM and 10:00 PM according to business needs. Employees must be available for four weekdays and one weekend day each week. Pay is listed as $22–$28 per hour or more, comprising a $15 base rate, profit sharing, and tips; overtime may be available as needed.

A valid DOT Medical Card is required to drive commercial vehicles, and Southwind covers the cost of obtaining DOT Medical Certification. Uniform requirements include a brown belt, brown steel-toe boots, navy blue work pants or shorts, and provided branded polo, cap or beanie, and sweatshirt. Uniform standards apply whenever at the office, on or off the clock.
