Junk Removal and Driver
About The Position
Southwind is hiring a Junk Removal and Driver to join its Field Sales & Service Team. The role combines customer service, on-site sales, junk removal, and commercial vehicle operation. Team members create positive customer experiences, discuss pricing, provide estimates, and remove unwanted items from homes and businesses. Training is provided, and no prior junk removal experience is required. The role includes daily recorded role-play scenarios to support training, skill development, and performance improvement. This is a full-time position with 4–5 shifts per week, including one mandatory weekend shift and 3–4 weekday shifts. Shifts last 8–10 hours and may occur between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, depending on business needs. Employees must be available for four weekdays and one weekend day each week. Compensation is described as $24–$26 per hour in total compensation, comprising a $11.50 base hourly rate, tips, profit share and performance incentives; overtime is also mentioned. A valid DOT Medical Card is required for driving commercial vehicles. Southwind covers the full cost of obtaining DOT Medical Certification. Uniform standards while at the office include a brown belt, brown steel-toe boots, navy blue work pants or shorts, and company-provided branded polo, cap or beanie, and sweatshirt.
