About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring a Journeyman Technician at Arlington Heights CDJR. The role is responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, and for building customer trust through effective diagnosis and repair. The company is affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and over 50 dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Technician.
• Self-starter who is process-driven.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel and ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs clearly to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers when needed.
• Keep technical skills and techniques up to date through formal training.
• Inform store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
