About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a Journeyman Technician for its Arlington Heights CDJR location. The technician is responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned, following dealer and factory standards. The role supports customer loyalty by building trust and confidence through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Technician.
Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers, as required.
Continuously update technical skills and techniques through formal training to stay current with changing automotive technology.
Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
