About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is a nonprofit organization supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities across Western New York through residential, educational, clinical, and employment services. The Job Coach / Transition Specialist (Floater) provides individuals with support and guidance in developing job skills, finding suitable work, and navigating workplace dynamics. The position floats between various community prevocational sites in the WNY area and works Monday through Friday at a pay rate of $19.96 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma and at least one year of experience in a work setting training others.
- Valid New York State driver's license with an approved record.
- Reliable transportation.

- Previous experience providing direct care services.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and assist individuals in developing social skills, work skills, and work habits in a community-based setting.
- Orient individuals to new work settings, including work routines, production demands, and quality standards.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of work produced by individuals at community business sites to ensure it meets customer contract standards.
- Transport or escort individuals to and from community work sites as needed and/or provide mobility training.
