About The Position
Accenture Flex is hiring a Java Developer for fixed-duration, project-based work supporting an Accenture client. The role supports existing software and develops new software solutions, using modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to business needs. The developer is expected to serve as a subject matter expert, collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to key deliveries, solve problems within and across teams, and take ownership of software components to ensure quality and performance meet project standards. The position requires maintaining existing Java C applications and collaborating with colleagues to learn from and teach others. Work is 100% onsite at a client location in Houston, Texas, with no travel requirements specified beyond working locally in the metro area. Candidates must pass public trust and client security clearances, including background checks, fingerprinting, and a drug test, and meet the stated citizenship or permanent-residency requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java Enterprise Backend Development experience.
- Capable of passing a public trust clearance.
- Must pass a client security clearance, including a background check, good credit standing, fingerprinting, and a drug test.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have been a Green Card permanent resident for the past 7 years.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must meet U.S. work authorization requirements without current or future visa sponsorship.

- Advanced proficiency in Agile Team Practices.
- Advanced proficiency in the JUnit Testing Framework and Spring Boot.
- Intermediate proficiency in Apache Kafka and Microservices Architecture.
