About The Position

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a full-time Janitorial Supervisor to coordinate and assist employees performing cleaning and premises-maintenance activities at commercial, industrial, and medical establishments. This is a working-supervisor role: the supervisor directs employees while also performing the duties of workers they supervise. The role pays $22 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of three years of verifiable work history.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in the janitorial industry.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
• Issue supplies and equipment.
• Resolve workers’ problems or refer matters to the Manager.
• Perform the duties of workers supervised.
• Directly supervise performance outcomes for 2 to 50 janitorial service employees.
• Assist in training employees.
• Plan, assign, and direct work.
• Provide feedback to managers to support effective employee performance appraisals.
• Address customer complaints and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with employees and perform related duties as a working supervisor.
