About The Position

The Janitorial Clerk helps ensure Lowes Foods guest service, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the store. The role also helps implement and maintain Show standards inside and outside the store. Duties include cleaning and sanitation, maintaining guest and staff areas, organizing supplies, supporting front-end service as needed, and communicating maintenance needs to store management.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds constantly and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull, and endure outdoor elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Gather and empty trash throughout the store as needed.
Clean spills, sweep, and mop as needed.
Use floor-cleaning equipment, including a floor scrubber and floor buffer.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Maintain and organize backroom supply areas.
Maintain and clean guest seating areas.
Maintain and clean the host breakroom.
Maintain and clean restrooms.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Clean doors, windows, glass, store fixtures, shelving, and racks as needed.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold and maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Communicate maintenance needs to store management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
