JANITOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
ESFM is hiring a full-time Janitor at the Nestlé location in Batavia, Ohio. The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The role uses assigned materials and equipment and follows approved procedures, infection control plans, and an eight-step cleaning procedure to help maintain a clean and safe environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with one of two shifts: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Further schedule details are provided during the interview. Pay is $15.50 to $16.00 per hour. At least one year of experience is required; training is available.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience.

- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean, then return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and demonstrate professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
