About The Position

ESFM, the corporate Integrated Facilities Management division of Compass Group USA, is hiring a full-time Janitor in San Jose, California. The role keeps buildings clean and orderly and includes heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The listed pay range is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. Commercial cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Sanitize all surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
