JANITOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The position is located at 3M, 1640 Western Avenue, Cumberland, WI 54829. It is a full-time role scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Previous experience is preferred but not required; training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The role involves cleaning assigned areas with provided materials and equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and following the eight-step cleaning procedure and applicable procedures and guidelines. The Janitor also contributes to the team and demonstrates professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred but not required; the employer is willing to train.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection-control plans.
- Dust and damp-mop floors according to approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
