About The Position
The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The role helps maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, following approved procedures and applicable federal, state, and county guidelines. This is a full-time position at 1475 Doug Barnard Parkway, Augusta, Georgia. Multiple shifts are available, with further schedule details provided during the interview. Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash in accordance with approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
