About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a janitor to keep the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role involves cleaning building interiors and work areas, maintaining restrooms and supplies, handling waste and recycling, monitoring cleaning supplies, reporting unsafe or maintenance-related conditions, and following safety procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility for actions, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Commit to long hours when necessary to reach goals.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, and use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
• Keep furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings free of dust.
• Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
• Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and in other required areas.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers into the disposal area.
• Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating which areas were cleaned and inspected.
• Follow safety and precautionary rules.
• Close doors at the end of the night shift.
