About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a janitor to keep the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role involves cleaning and maintaining building interiors and common areas, restrooms, furnishings, windows, and waste and recycling areas; keeping cleaning supplies stocked; and reporting unsafe or maintenance-related conditions. The position requires following safety procedures and maintaining a record of areas cleaned and inspected. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and close doors at the end of the night shift. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. The work environment may occasionally involve moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and in other required areas.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Empty trash and recycling containers and take them to the disposal area.
Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precaution rules and use equipment and materials properly.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
