About The Position

The Janitor helps maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility by performing general custodial and housekeeping duties. The role supports daily operations by maintaining workspaces, restrooms, common areas, and storage locations according to company cleanliness and safety standards. The scheduled shift is 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The hourly rate is $20.17, plus a $1.50 shift differential.

The position is based in Darien, Wisconsin. The anticipated close date is November 9, 2026.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime or alternate schedules as needed.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals and moving equipment and in varying temperatures and facility environments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offices, cafeteria, corridors, laboratories, restrooms, and other company premises in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Perform floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and scrubbing floors.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, drinking fountains, and vending machines.
• Refill and maintain towel, toilet paper, feminine hygiene, hand sanitizer, soap, hand cleaner, and other dispensers throughout the facility.
• Replace light bulbs and clean light fixtures as needed.
• Monitor janitorial supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is required.
• Stock and organize janitorial closets and storage areas to maintain a safe and orderly workspace.
• Follow company safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
