About The Position

The Gatekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all steps in the process are followed and correcting errors so orders move through the system both physically and systematically. The role verifies incoming and outgoing orders, checks that pallets and boxes match High Jump records, researches and resolves order and box errors, and communicates resolutions. The Gatekeeper may also assist with material handling, stocking, and packing, and is expected to practice 5S and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to perform work according to instructions and within a reasonable time.
• One year of distribution center or quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend order information and work instructions.
• Use knowledge of distribution center systems.
• Verify that incoming and outgoing orders are correct.
• Verify that pallets and boxes match what High Jump reports.
• Research and fix errors with orders and boxes.
• Identify and correct problem scans.
• Identify and isolate errors and communicate resolutions.
• Assist in other areas of the cell as needed, including material handling, stocking, and packing.
• Practice 5S and safety.
• React effectively to change and handle other tasks as assigned.
