About The Position
The Janitor II performs routine manual work cleaning and maintaining public buildings. Duties also include heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment that are not easily accessible, performing simple building repairs, and operating heavy industrial-type cleaning equipment. Other related duties may be assigned. Applicants must be willing and available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employment is with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation.
Requirements
- No experience or training is required.
- Applicants must be willing and available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- For airport positions requiring unescorted access to secured areas, prospective employees must successfully complete a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history records check and have no disqualifying convictions within the preceding ten years.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens, or otherwise eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
