About The Position
The Janitor II performs routine manual work cleaning and maintaining public buildings. The role also involves heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment that are not easily accessible, performing simple building repairs, and operating heavy industrial-type cleaning equipment. Other related duties may be assigned. Applicants must be willing and available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation on Kauai.
Requirements
- No experience or training is required.
- Applicants must be willing and available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Candidates recommended for hire must successfully complete a fingerprint-based federal criminal history records check and have no disqualifying convictions within the preceding ten years to obtain SIDA clearance.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent resident aliens, or otherwise eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
