About The Position

The Syracuse City School District is seeking dedicated and diverse educators to partner in its goal of ensuring all students graduate high school ready for college and career. The district serves approximately 19,000 students across 35 schools and programs. This specific role is for ITC High School - Bowling Coaches (Unified - Head/Assistant). The district offers 120 athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff of certified, dedicated individuals who work hard and care about student athletes. The modified program for grades 7-8 emphasizes skill development, participation, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and the value of hard work, rather than winning. The high school level (freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams) requires a higher refinement of skill and a greater comprehension of competition, stressing academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

Coach student athletes in bowling at ITC High School.
Develop skills, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and dedication in modified program athletes.
Refine skills and prepare athletes for higher levels of competition at the high school level.
Stress the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
