About The Position

The IT Systems & Support Technician is responsible for delivering day-to-day technical support across ADi, ensuring employees have reliable access to the systems, devices, and tools they need to perform their work. This role serves as the first point of contact for IT-related issues and supports both office and production environments. This position focuses on end-user productivity, device management, and business system support, while partnering closely with the IT Security & Infrastructure Technician and external MSP for more complex issues. The mission of this role is to keep ADi employees productive by ensuring all technology systems, devices, and tools are functioning reliably and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with ERP or business systems
  • Experience with ticketing systems and asset tracking tools
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, Wi-Fi, printers)
  • Exposure to cybersecurity best practices

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network access, and peripheral issues
  • Resolve support tickets efficiently and communicate status clearly
  • Escalate complex issues to the IT Security & Infrastructure Technician or MSP as needed
  • Set up new employees with devices, accounts, and system access
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective
  • Maintain accurate and secure user access and permissions
  • Support password resets and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Track IT assets and maintain inventory records
  • Ensure devices are updated, patched, and functioning properly
  • Coordinate repairs and replacements
  • Provide user-level support for systems such as ERP/MRP systems, Email and collaboration tools (Microsoft 365), and File storage and shared drives
  • Assist employees with system navigation, access, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate with vendors or internal IT resources for issue resolution
  • Support production-related technology, including shop floor terminals, label printers/barcode systems, and display systems and basic connectivity
  • Troubleshoot issues that impact production workflows
  • Maintain documentation for common issues and resolutions
  • Support development of IT standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
  • Partner with the IT Security & Infrastructure Technician on escalations
  • Support Engineering and Operations with day-to-day technical needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
