About The Position

Proactive Technology Management is looking for an experienced IT professional to join their team. They are seeking a motivated, independent IT expert who feels confident communicating with a remote team of talented techs. This role involves working in different client environments providing excellent customer service and technical support. The ideal candidate has broad IT knowledge and high accountability that keeps them driven towards success and personal growth. The company offers a defined, upward career path with opportunities for increased money and responsibility. The position is full-time, with working hours either 10 am-7 pm or 11 am-8 pm EST. The career path progresses from Technician to Integrator, Engineer, and Consultant. Initially, the role may involve remote or on-site client work without assigned clients. As the technician grows into a senior role, they will have the opportunity to be assigned specific clients, becoming a Primary technician responsible for clients from keyboard to cloud, guiding purchasing decisions, setting up equipment, and implementing new services. This requires a love for helping people with technology and excellent communication skills. The company is hiring an experienced technician entering at the Integrator level, with most troubleshooting handled remotely. A hybrid schedule is expected. 4+ years working at or above Tier 3-level support or in a specialist role is preferred. Primary technicians work directly with clients and other IT professionals, requiring enjoyment in interfacing with multiple people daily and problem-solving on the go. The first 30 days involve shadowing, learning processes and systems, active participation in troubleshooting and projects, and gaining client interaction experience. A 30-day check-in will ensure confidence in job expectations. The position requires a strong grasp of Networking, Office 365, Windows Desktops, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Security, with key areas of knowledge including troubleshooting, implementation, and installation.

Requirements

  • 5+ Office 365 and Windows Server experience
  • 5+ Firewall troubleshooting experience (Sophos, Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard)
  • 5+ Network Setup experience (installing AP's, switches, and firewalls)
  • Extensive experience leading migrations
  • Extensive experience in virtualization and networking
  • Above and beyond customer service
