About The Position

This summer internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will assist with the provisioning, installation, and maintenance of system hardware and software while supporting end users. This role is ideal for a student looking to apply technical knowledge to real-world infrastructure and regulated systems.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 0–1 year of technical IT support experience; prior classroom or project experience with hardware/software troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Fundamental understanding of PC hardware and printer troubleshooting/repair.
  • Basic grasp of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and general networking principles (LAN/WAN).
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with desktop, laptop, phone, and software support for on-site staff.
  • Help manage and create user accounts within established systems.
  • Monitor the helpdesk queue to respond to, escalate, or close support tickets.
  • Provide basic monitoring and support for network infrastructure.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with WuXi AppTec policies, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and safety procedures.
  • Assist IT staff and management on departmental goals and special projects.
