About The Position

The IT Support Technician provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff participating in Edconic Precollege Summer programs. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software, hardware, and web applications while ensuring a seamless technology experience for all users.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IT concepts, practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in both PC and Mac hardware and software configurations.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, and other standard business productivity software.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to web applications and technology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear and professional technical support.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and professional conduct.
  • Ability to work on-site as required.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve incoming requests for technical assistance via email, in person, and through the Service Desk System.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to standard software applications, web applications, and desktop hardware.
  • Prioritise and manage support cases while following up on outstanding issues.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide classroom support to ensure smooth operation during lessons and presentations.
  • Assist precollege students with accessing and using school systems.
  • Provide guidance on technical issues to enhance students learning experience.
