About The Position
FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP. is seeking an IT Support Intern to join their team in Wallkill, New York. This internship offers hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, systems, and technologies, focusing on real projects and mentorship rather than menial tasks. The role is designed for a self-starter eager to gain practical experience in systems administration. The internship provides 1:1 mentorship from senior engineers, real-world experience with security tools, patch management, and server administration, and an opportunity to take ownership of workflows.
Requirements
- Current student or recent grad in IT, CS, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, AD, and Office 365
- Comfortable with Excel + networking basics (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
- Problem-solver with good vibes and solid follow‑through
Responsibilities
- Supporting Windows 10/11 + Active Directory environments
- Troubleshooting hardware & software issues
- Helping with patching, endpoint protection, and server/network tasks
- Keeping track of devices, licenses, and IT assets
- Jumping into cool infrastructure projects with senior engineers
- Tackling a diverse range of tasks—from high-volume helpdesk tickets to complex server configurations.
