About The Position

The IT Support Intern provides general technical support by telephone or in person, receives, configures, and deploys hardware, participates in team projects, and tracks and manages IT assets. The role offers flexible hours designed to work around a school schedule and is available year-round. The position includes 10% travel and follows Plante Moran’s “Workplace for Your Day” model, which emphasizes a principally in-person approach while allowing staff to coordinate their work environment with their supervisor and team.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related undergraduate degree program, with career aspirations in Information Technology.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, network connectivity, and Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook, and Teams.
• Be able to frequently remain in a stationary or sitting position.
• Be able to lift at least 40 pounds; specific duties may require additional lifting to move, transport, position, and install equipment.

• Working knowledge of PC hardware.
