About The Position
The IT Support Intern provides general technical support to staff by telephone or in person, receives, configures, and deploys hardware, participates in team projects, and tracks and manages IT assets. The position offers year-round flexible hours intended to work around a student’s school schedule. It includes 10% travel and follows Plante Moran’s “Workplace for Your Day” model: a principally in-person approach that encourages flexibility in coordination with a supervisor and team.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related undergraduate degree program, with career aspirations in Information Technology.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating System (Windows 11), network connectivity, and Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook, and Teams.
- Be able to frequently remain in a stationary or sitting position.
- Be able to lift at least 40 lbs; specific duties may require additional lifting to move, transport, position, and install equipment.
