About The Position

This IT Support Assistant role is based in Toronto and reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations. The position offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of a global technology experience, supporting colleagues across Toronto, Vancouver, London, and Australia, while also contributing to the evolution of support delivery. They emphasize positive influence and improving people's lives through their work. The IT Support Assistant will ensure a reliable, responsive, and high-quality end-user technology experience. The role involves providing Level 1 and Level 2 support, working across end-user support, Windows devices, Microsoft 365, onboarding, asset management, and service improvement initiatives. It offers a high degree of ownership and responsibility, working closely with a global IT team to deliver a seamless technology experience. The work environment is hybrid, with a typical arrangement of four days in the office and one day from home.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in IT support or service desk roles, with demonstrated experience in providing Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support in a Microsoft environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across the Microsoft 365 stack.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and endpoint management technologies such as Microsoft Intune.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a global team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to documentation and process adherence.
  • Must have the right to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a corporate or professional services environment will be highly regarded.
  • Candidates with more than three years of relevant experience, and exposure to mentoring or leading a small team, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive Level 1 and Level 2 support that enables colleagues across Toronto, Vancouver, London and Australia to work productively and confidently.
  • Become the go-to technology contact for colleagues, resolving issues across Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, printers, audio visual, network, mobile devices and standard business applications.
  • Support seamless onboarding and offboarding activities through effective account provisioning, hardware preparation, software deployment and device lifecycle management.
  • Strengthen operational reliability through accurate ticket management, asset tracking, knowledge sharing and clear documentation.
  • Contribute to technology rollouts, service improvements and operational enhancements that improve how support is delivered across the business.
