IT Summer Intern
About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is hiring students for its Technology Summer Internship Program. The program offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to business goals, work with an assigned team, and complete a project to present to senior management at the end of the program. The internship is intended as a pathway to future employment. The program is open to students who have completed their second or third year of college, or who are currently enrolled in a master’s program. Candidates may indicate their preferred area of interest, including Artificial Intelligence, Architecture, Data Analytics, Digital Product Management, Engineering, IT Security, and Strategy & Portfolio Management. The preferred work locations are the Secaucus, New Jersey, or Schaumburg, Illinois headquarters, on a hybrid basis with three days in the office per week. Candidates at other Quest locations may be considered based on business needs.
Requirements
- Completed the second or third year of college, with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical or technical area relevant to the opportunities.
- Information technology coursework and a fundamental understanding of technologies.
- Fundamental understanding of technologies such as cloud, AI, and networking.
- Highly collaborative, motivated, and organized.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Comfort making verbal and written presentations to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work in the internship area.
- Complete an assigned project and present it to senior management.
