The IT Support Engineer is a customer-facing member of the IT team who primarily supports the organization’s end-user technology environment. The role provides first-line support and helps maintain and administer company desktops, notebooks, mobile devices, printers, servers, network devices, office equipment, and related software. It also participates in implementing new hardware and software, including installing and configuring Microsoft applications on end-user computers. The position supports Windows-based and Apple and Android systems and requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, desktop applications, and troubleshooting computers, servers, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices. This is an exempt, salaried position. The role works in a professional office and technical support environment with frequent interaction with end users. Work combines desk duties and hands-on support and may involve moving between departments, facilities, or field locations, including offices, operations centers, garages, or clinical environments. Some travel and participation in an on-call rotation are required; after-hours support or emergency response to critical outages may also be needed.
