About The Position

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network devices. The IT Security Engineer will monitor and maintain system security, ensuring that the systems are protected from unauthorized access. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues, providing support to end-users, and creating/maintaining system documentation and diagrams. Collaboration with IT team members is essential to ensure systems meet company needs. The engineer will also develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies, and stay current with emerging technologies and trends in system engineering. Any other duties as directed by management may also be assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years SOC experience required.
  • One relevant certification such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) required or obtain within six months of employment.
  • Expert knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Expertise in system monitoring tools, such as WireShark and Zabbix.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with no more than 2 moving violations and 1 chargeable accident within the last three years.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
