About the position
The IT Operations Specialist position at Stord is responsible for proactively managing facility requests, support tickets, and escalations to ensure operational compliance and customer satisfaction. They will support employees globally, resolving issues related to IT infrastructure and network systems. The role involves supporting fulfillment center employees and devices, installing and repairing computers, documenting solutions, and creating automation workflows. Additionally, the IT Operations Specialist will design and manage network infrastructure, troubleshoot networking outages, and participate in incident management and security compliance testing. They will also contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support fulfillment center employees and devices including printers, scanners, label makers, computers, and pack stations.
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize service requests received via telephone, email, support tickets, and in-person for hardware and software performance.
- Launch and maintain MDM and VSA efforts for hardware security.
- Install and repair computers with different operating systems (Mac, Windows, and Chrome).
- Document solutions, create guides, and KBAs to improve and simplify IT work.
- Create and deliver automation workflows to improve department efficiency.
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure for server and networking installations, upgrades, and other projects.
- Communicate with hardware and software vendors and technical staff to maintain optimal network functionality and recommend enhancements.
- Strategically plan for long-term timelines based on company objectives and facility developments.
- Troubleshoot networking outages for all Stord locations.
- Manage incident events, schedule change orders, and implement device security and compliance programs.
- Keep peers and leaders informed of trends, problems, delays, and project status.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and security compliance testing.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
- Ensure information security commitments and requirements are incorporated into IT processes and enforce IS policies and procedures.
