About The Position

Essity is seeking an experienced IT Onsite Support Specialist to assist with Digital Workplace-related systems and Operational Technology at their location. This role involves close collaboration with on-site business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, track requests, and manage resolutions. The position will initially focus on migrating from previous systems to Essity’s business, IT, and manufacturing ecosystem. This is an opportunity for professional development within the Global Supply Chain Onsite IT. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience delivering IT Support & Solutions to Supply Chain locations or similar relevant experience.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent certifications/experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong oral communication skills to gather information and explain complex technical concepts simply.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Observational skills to recognize potential problems.
  • Customer service skills for professional and positive interaction with stakeholders, employees, and coworkers.
  • Organization skills to maintain workspace efficiency.
  • Willingness to lead and work with project teams.
  • Knowledge or experience of commonly used Essity software, hardware, and applications (Office and relevant factory systems).
  • Proven experience with IT Service Management tools and ticketing systems.
  • Experience in managing IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, licensing, and maintenance tracking.
  • Very good understanding of IT security principles, including firewalls, antivirus software, encryption, and secure password management.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a specialist or expert in relevant IT areas, identifying improvement possibilities and driving changes to enhance service levels.
  • Support the management of local servers and networks in collaboration with global IT teams.
  • Process and take ownership of customer tickets.
  • Monitor onsite systems to ensure optimal operation, address performance issues, and proactively prevent problems.
  • Manage the installation and replacement of end-user IT workplace equipment, including PCs, smartphones, printers, and collaboration tools.
  • Administer IT assets (hardware and software) and facilitate user training and education on supported services and solutions.
  • Ensure that audit requirements are fulfilled by both internal and external parties.
  • Understand how IT solutions support business-critical processes for each supported location.
  • Independently diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of processes, issues, resolutions, and system configurations using agreed-upon IT tools.
  • Adhere to IT security protocols, company IT compliance standards, and IT operational processes (e.g., incident and time reporting).
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation for 24/7 support as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel between local support sites and provide remote support at other locations if necessary.
