About The Position

This position participates in a group 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology or a related field of study - OR - High School diploma plus 2 years of experience in IT support functions or IT technical-related experience.
  • Required to be on-call and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours.
  • Work may occasionally require more than eight hours per day.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field of study.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Certifications: A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA
  • Rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and commission electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, communication, structured cabling, cable management, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, network switches, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment, software, or configuration and return systems to full functionality.
  • Provide end-user support and assistance with badge access, video surveillance, electronic control systems, and other network system components.
  • Documents work in progress and solutions to trouble calls using call tracking software.
  • Provides the manager with daily status reports of ongoing projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
