About The Position

The IT intern will assist the IT team with end-user support, backend testing, front-end development, and department administration. The internship offers exposure to different areas of IT, related tools, and collaboration with departments and users across the organization. The role is on-site in De Leon Springs, Florida, and operates in professional office and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

• Actively pursue a bachelor's or graduate degree at an accredited institution and provide documentation confirming degree progress, or be a recent graduate who completed a bachelor's or master's program within the past year; this must be verified as part of the background check.
• Have experience using web-based and PC-based software tools and systems.
• Understand PC architectures.
• Understand networking concepts.
• Understand computer operating systems and how to configure them.
• Have current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be able to work on-site in De Leon Springs, Florida.

Nice To Haves

• IT certifications, such as A+, are recommended.
• Applicants with a software development background will also be considered.
• Good working knowledge of computer and networking technology.
• Ability to use original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.
• Ability to write technical reports and contribute to presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Initiative, motivation, and ability to act independently to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Interact with end users to gather information about issues and use cases.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
• Perform testing on a variety of systems.
• Update documentation for end users, technicians, and administrators.
• Liaise with Purchasing.
